First Look | Why do you love me? | Southern Utah Wedding Photographer

Oversharing is caring right? Brace yourselves because I hard the hardest time picking favorites from this session, so yes I will be sharing so many!

First things first, let's talk first looks. You know, when the groom sees the bride in her wedding dress for the first time? A lot of couples get nervous going into their first look, especially the groom. As a Utah Wedding Photographer I want reactions to be as genuine as possible and not stage. Setting the mood is so important, which is why I want to share with you my favorite way to go about "the first look."

We all know the typical way to perform the first look, where the bride sneaks up from behind, taps the groom on the shoulder and wala. Although I still love this way, I have found a lot of times it doesn't create a good atmosphere and can ultimately cause a lot of nerves. Here is where the "why do you love me" comes into play.

I love to have the bride and groom stand back to back. Keep in mind the groom still hasn't seen his bride to be yet. They then will read vows, reasons why they love each other, why they cannot wait to spend forever with each other just to name a few. Honestly it's the biggest tear jerker ever and sets the mood for a gorgeous session.
