Spring and summer are just around the corner, and in my opinion both of these seasons are the BEST times to get your family photos done. As a Cedar City, Utah photographer I highly recommend having your family photos taken in the summer and here are a few reasons why.
Weather is warmer and of course warm weather = happy littles. If you have little ones in your family and/or you have a hard time braving cold weather I recommend having your family pictures taken during a warm month in either the spring or summer.
Colors are more vibrant during both of these season. Whether it is the green on the trees, or flowers on the ground, the spring and summer times will both have a lot more color.
There is a lot more daylight in the spring and summer months meaning golden hour is later, and in short, means our session starts later. This is always a perk because no one has to get off work early from work, rush home from school, and you can arrive to your session after dinner, with full bellies!
As a southern Utah professional family photographer, and Mom to 3 under 6 littles, I take my family photos during these two seasons because of these reasons. If you are trying to decide what season to take your family photos I hope this helps.
