Utah Extended Family Photos | VanDyke Family | Brian Head Photographer

As a Brian Head, Utah photographer I often get asked what extended family photo sessions are like with me. I am going to give a brief description of what I feel they are like and if you have any additional questions for me, please feel free to reach out!

Here in Southern Utah, every family is so different and wants different things when it comes to extended family photos. I always like to start with all of the extended family pictures that I typically get with everyone, then shoot any additional photos that your extended family wants, and then we move to individual families. This is where things can really vary depending on family size and the amount of good lighting we have. I have had families that want a lot of individual family photos, some that want the bare minimum, and then some that want too many, and truth be told we don't have enough time. If you are someone who is wanting a lot of individual family photos and you have a bigger family (3+ kids) I would recommend scheduling a separate session to have more photos taken of your family.

The VanDyke family is a great example of the maximum number of photos that we can get during an extended family session with the amount of good light available and time we have.
