Utah Temple Wedding | Finding a Wedding Venue

As a Utah wedding, engagement and bridal photographer I understand the stress of finding a wedding venue. So I am here to give you a few tips and tricks to finding the perfect wedding and reception venue for your special day.

Consider lighting. Not every wedding venue has good lighting. A venue that has lots of windows to let in natural light makes a HUGE difference when it comes to the outcome of your wedding photos.
Location of the sun (especially during an outdoor wedding ceremony). For the best lighting in photos it is ideal for the sun to be directly in front or behind the altar. Most brides prefer it to be behind so they aren't being blinded by the sun.
Venue style. Truth is you will look back on your photos for the rest of your life. A lot of times the perfect venue doesn't need a lot of decorating or upkeep. Plus you will look back on your photos with no regrets. That's not to say you have to spend bookoo bucks on a venue, but you could spend less on decorations at the same time.

Those are a few of my tips and tricks when it comes to choosing a wedding venue. Two of my favorite locations that tick all of these boxes in Cedar City is The Barn at Cedar Meadows and Heather Hill Farm and Gardens
